Product Manager
Own the dForge product roadmap: an operational platform where business models become PostgreSQL schemas, UI, security, and installable modules.
About the Role
dForge is a metadata-driven operational platform. You define a model, and dForge generates the PostgreSQL schema, the operational UI, the security, and the audit trail. On top of that sit installable business modules, AI-assisted authoring, and a VS Code extension for building modules.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own what we build next and why. You’ll work directly with the founders, engineering, and design, and with the customers and partners who build on dForge.
Responsibilities
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the dForge platform and its module ecosystem
- Analyze how real businesses operate (processes, data, roles, approvals, reporting) and turn that into requirements, domain models, and module designs
- Turn customer, partner, and developer feedback into clear priorities and specs
- Prototype and validate ideas yourself by building modules with the VS Code extension, AI assistants, and the dForge MCP tools
- Decide which business modules to build or improve next (CRM, inventory, HR, billing, and others) by studying customer workflows
- Decide where the platform should go next: authoring experience, AI capabilities, governance, and the module marketplace
- Work with engineering to ship features on time and with quality
- Define success metrics and use usage data to check whether they worked
- Research the market and competitors, and sharpen how dForge is positioned
- Work with sales and marketing on go-to-market, documentation, and launches
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or platform products
- Strong business analysis skills: eliciting requirements, mapping processes (BPMN or similar), and writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Comfort with data modeling: entities, relationships, statuses, and roles and permissions
- Experience with business applications (ERP, CRM, operations tools) or automation platforms
- Ability to balance technical constraints against business needs
- A data-driven approach to decisions, with strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Hands-on AI fluency: you use AI assistants daily and know how to turn a business problem into a working result with them (prior coding experience is not required)
- Experience working in agile teams
Nice to Have
- Technical background or engineering degree
- Experience implementing or configuring low-code/no-code, ERP/CRM, or metadata-driven platforms
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and relational databases
- Experience in a specific industry domain (finance, logistics, HR, public sector)
- Experience with developer-facing products or platforms
- Experience building with AI agents, MCP, or prompt-driven workflows
- Knowledge of enterprise sales cycles
- Experience in an early-stage startup
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation
- Remote-first culture with flexible working hours
- Direct influence on product direction
- A small, collaborative team
- Professional growth opportunities
